Privacy Policy

Go Pray is a community directory of mosques and prayer spaces, available as a mobile app and at gopray.app, operated by Digital Ummah Pty Ltd. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. In this policy, “we” and “us” means Digital Ummah Pty Ltd.

Your location. To show prayer places near you, the app uses your device's location (with your permission) and sends it to our servers and to Google Maps. It is used to find and show nearby places, and is not stored against your name or account.

Your account. To verify, update or add a prayer place, you sign in with an identity provider such as Google, Apple or Facebook. We receive your name and email address from that account. We do not receive your password.

Your contributions. When you verify, update, add or suggest a change to a prayer place, we record what you changed together with your name, email address, any note you include, your IP address and basic device or browser information.

Usage statistics. The app uses Google Analytics to understand how it is used — for example which screens are used most, what places are searched for, how long places take to load, and which phone models and app versions are in use. This includes information about your device and network, an identifier for your app installation and, if you are signed in, an account identifier — but not your name or email address.

We use the information above to:

• show you prayer places and prayer times near you;
• keep the directory accurate, and review and publish changes;
• prevent spam and abuse — if you are suspected of spamming, we may block you from verifying, updating or adding prayer places;
• contact you for clarification about a place you have added or updated, or about important changes to the service;
• understand how Go Pray is used so we can improve it.

Prayer times and place details you contribute are published in the directory. Your name and email address are not shown publicly. We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

We use trusted service providers to run Go Pray, and they handle information on our behalf. These include Google (sign-in, analytics, maps and forms), Apple and Meta (Facebook) for sign-in, and our website hosting and database providers.

Some of these providers store or process information outside your country.

We keep the record of changes made to prayer places, including who made them, for as long as it is needed to keep the directory accurate and protect it from abuse. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

To see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you (including your account), or to raise a question or concern about your privacy, email us at goprayfeedback@gmail.com from the address you signed in with. Changes you made to prayer places may stay in the directory, but they will no longer be linked to you.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make significant changes, we will let you know in the app or on this page.
